Brazilian Night Coffee Beans are a country of origin bean. Beans are often named after the ports they are shipped from and the Brazilian Night beans are the Santos beans named after the port of Santos in Brazil. They are a dark roasted bean with a really beautiful aroma and flavour. They are strong but no so strong as to give you that bang some beans give first thing in the morning. Brazilian Night is suitable for any method of brewing and has a great cremma. The shine on the beans is the oil brought forth during the roasting process.
When brewing plunger coffee you need to add hot liquid. This can be hot water, hot milk, hot soy or any combination. Rosie’s favourite is hot full cream milk to make a flat white. Heat the desired amount of milk in the microwave and pour into the plunger straight on top of your ground coffee. Let the coffee brew for about 4 minutes and then plunge. Delicious!
Iced coffee can be made in the same way. Once brewed pour into a container and refrigerate until cold.To serve, place a scoop of ice cream in a glass. Pour the cold mixture over the ice cream. Top with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.
Heaven on a hot day!
When making coffee with an espresso machine it is important to remember it takes only 3 seconds once the group handle is clicked into the group head for the coffee to burn. When making milk coffee it is always best to froth the milk first and let it sit whilst you attend to the group handle. If frothing for Cappuccino, letting the frothed milk sit for a minute or two will allow the milk to thicken a little.
The difference between a Flat White and a Cappuccino is only the froth and chocolate sprinkles on the top!
